Insp Paul Loughlin, from Northwich Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), with the latest town policing news: The NPT has continued with our work to tackle illegal drug supply in Northwich.
On Thursday, October 15, we executed a drugs warrant in Middlewich Road, a quantity of cannabis was recovered and a male received a fixed penalty notice.
On Friday, we executed a drugs warrant on Danefield Road, where some drugs paraphernalia was recovered.
During the next couple of weeks, the NPT will be scaling up our response to incidents anti-social Behavior.
Unfortunately Hallowe’en and Bonfire Night have in the past seen the Northwich community suffer from increased levels of anti-social behaviour.
We have plans in place to address the behavior of people old and young which is considered anti-social by the community.
I would like to encourage people to consider how their behavior may affect others in their community We plan to involve parents of young people in addressing youth anti-social behaviour; this may involve parents receiving letters if we find their children involved in anti-social behaviour incidents.
Anti-social behavior discussions will take place during which officers will officially tell parents what their children have been doing and what they must not do any more.
Any young people who continue to misbehave may find themselves receiving an Acceptable Behavior Contract in conjunction with our partners.
