MEMENTOS of a vulnerable widow’s late husband have been stolen from a Middlewich home.
An army boxing medal and a diabetic SOS talisman were taken from a property in Roylance Drive in what police have described as a ‘mean’ crime.
PC Mike Rushton said: “Both of these have great sentimental value, and if anyone offers them for sale we would like to hear about it.
“As usual, the criminal was only interested in profit and had no regard for the feelings of his victim.”
The bronze medal has an image of boxers on it, and is hung on a red, white and blue ribbon.
The talisman is a silver necklace with a pendant carrying information that the wearer is diabetic and some medical advice.
Rings, bracelets, ear rings and a necklace were also snatched between October 5 and 17.
Anyone with information can contact PC Rushton or PC David Dixon on 0845 458 0000 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
