FUN-loving cadets, Guides and Scouts are being asked to donate their time to help at a charity Santa Dash in Nantwich Town Centre.
The helpers are needed to give out water to thirsty runners, distribute goody bags and fulfil other marshalling duties on Sunday December 20 from 9.30am until 12noon.
All the proceeds from the event will go to local charity Railway Children, based in Sandbach.
The Santa Dash will start and finish in Nantwich Town Square, just opposite Chatwins.
Competitors will wear Father Christmas outfits and can choose from completing a 2.5K fun run or a 5K race.
Other entertainment will include carol singing, a brass band, face-painting, ice-skating and singing by X-factor star Marie-Claire Scott.
Children under 10 can take part in the ‘dash’ free of charge.
There is a running fee of just £15 for adults and £12.50 for youngsters aged 10 and over.
Volunteer marshals are asked to contact Mhari Oakes at Railway Children on m.oakes@railwaychildren.org.uk or call 01270 757596.
