A NEW bus service to a health centre in Crewe has been welcomed by local councillors.
Rope ward councillors Margaret Simon, Ray Westwood and Brian Silvester have been campaigning for new service to the Rope Green Health Centre.
Clr Silvester said: "We have campaigned with the local parish councils for this service.
"Many of our residents do not have a car and they were not able to walk to the health centre.
"Even if the residents could walk to the health centre some would have to walk along country lanes that have no footpaths and were unlit.
"I am pleased that the Cheshire East Council has listened to the campaign and have been able to organise this hourly service."
