A WEIGHT Watchers club based in Hartford has raised more than £200 for the Alzheimer’s Society after taking part in a special walk.

The group took part in the Memory Walk, in September, held at Marbury Country Park and raised £222 for the Vale Royal branch of the society.

The people who took part in the walk were Faye Sackville, Gill Sackville, Jamie Sackville, Bev Paton, Emily Paton, Megan McCabe, Tracey Parry, Weight Watcher's group leader and Millie Ashcroft.

Gill, Bev and Millie are members of the Hartford branch of Weight Watchers.

Tracey said: “We are always trying to lose weight and get fit but this was important to me as my mum in law has alzheimers so it is close to home.”

In total 98 walkers took part on the day and the society hopes to raise approximately £3,300 as a result.
