AN elderly South Cheshire man, who was seriously injured in a road accident, has lost his life.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash after the man, who has not yet been named, died in the City General Hospital on Tuesday October 13.
The accident happened on the A530 Middlewich Road at Woolstanwood between the junction of Pym’s Lane and Wistaston Road just after 11pm on Monday October 5.
Cheshire Police said a 72-year-old local man was driving along the Middlewich Road towards Nantwich in a black Fiat Punto when his vehicle was in collision with a pedestrian who received serious head and limb injuries.
The driver was shaken but uninjured.
