WINSFORD-born illustrator Adrian Summer will be giving an art lecture on The Cat's Pyjamas – A History of Cats in Art.
The former Mid-Cheshire College pupil will be speaking at the Harlequin Theatre, in Queen Street, on Monday, October 26, exploring the history of our feline friends.
From medieval manuscript to the Romantic ‘familiar’; from Blake’s Tyger (and Rousseau's Tigers) to Martin Leman’s Curious Cats, from Felix via Krazy Kat to Fritz, the lecture aims to illustrate the diversity and ubiquity of the domestic feline and its feral cousins, in world art.
The show starts at 2pm and tickets priced £4 can be booked by calling the DAN office on 01606 41597.
