WITH Hallowe’en coming up, the Neuromuscular Centre is staging a special night for all the family.
The Winsford-based charity has organised a Fright Night on Saturday, October 31, at Shakerley Mere, Allostock, near Knutsford.
Two sessions will be run with the first one at 5pm and the second one beginning at 6.30pm.
Visitors will have the chance to wander around the mere and hear all the spooky tales of the area and watch the spirits come alive.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and the best costume of the evening will also be awarded a Hallowe’en prize.
Leanne Marchington, events manager at the NMC, said: “Last year this event raised nearly £800, with 75 adults and 64 children all enjoying a fabulous evening walking around the spooky mere and learning all about the gory history and ghostly sightings.
“All hallows eve is apparently the night that the veil between the two worlds becomes so thin that we can see ghosts and apparitions who haunt the area, at the same time, each and every year.
“We had some wonderful feedback from both parents and children, and some requests to make it even scarier this year, so beware, and be afraid, be very afraid.”
Refreshments and food are also available before and after the walk but organisers have asked participants to remember to bring sensible footwear and a battery operated torch.
There is parking and toilet facilities on site.
Tickets must be bought in advance and cost £5 for adults and £3.50 for children including h a spooky fun-packed goody bag.
