RISING Crewe band Sgt Wolfbanger are set to play a special charity gig in memory of their biggest fan.
Mother of two, Michele Parker lost a brave battle against bowel cancer in March this year aged just 42.
Family and friends were keen to thank those who provided support during her illness and have arranged a special tribute gig at Willaston Club on Saturday, November 7.
Michele supported Sgt Wolfbanger right from the start, attending one of their heats in the Live and Unsigned competition despite illness last year.
Eager to repay that faith, the five-piece have written a song dedicated to Michele and will showcase it as headliners on the night.
Wolfbanger have also donated 100 copies of the track Smile Lines, with all proceeds going both St Luke’s Hospice and Cancer Research UK.
“Michele received invaluable help and assistance from St Luke’s Hospice, McMillan nurses, Leighton Hospital, Christies and others too numerous to mention,” said organiser and Michele's daughter Steph.
“We all wanted to find a way of thanking some of the people who gave this support within the medical profession."
Fellow organiser Carol Parry added: “Michele was a great supporter of Sgt Wolfbanger and now they want to show their support.
“She is sorely missed.”
Fellow friends Stoke band Mistaken For Strangers will also be on the bill while Michele’s daughter Steph will also take part in a dance presentation.
Tickets are £10 which include a hot and cold buffet and disco.
