JAMES Beattie's heroic part in almost ensuring Stoke's Premier League survival should not blind us to the obvious.
Ever since he got a huge blow around the head in the Blackburn game he has struggled to be effective.
When he was taken off against West Ham, Henri Camara made an instant impact, showing pace, power and a huge amount of determination.
This bloke is no Shola Ameobi strolling around the pitch, he is clearly keen to make a difference during his loan spell.
So maybe now is the time for Stoke to throw him in from the start of games.
Take the heat off Beattie, let him come on later in matches.
But we know Ricardo is superb at shielding the ball from defenders, so he will make a superb foil for the speedy Camara.
The likes of Lawrence, Etherington and Whelan have the skill and vision to play it into their feet.
Let's give them the chance against the Tigers.
