MORE than 24 hours later I still can´t quite believe that Stoke failed to win that match.
It wasn´t only that we had more of the ball, more corners, or twice as many shots.
Frankly Newcastle were so poor it was unbelievable.
Unable to string passes together, lacking pace, invention and confidence, they were frankly there for the taking.
Apart from their goal, Sorensen had nothing to do and even if we got a dodgy decision for the corner from which our goal arrived, the Potters looked the only side likely to score for all but the last 20 minutes.
That was probably an easier game than the forthcoming home maches against Blackburn and West Ham, but a victory in either of those and a draw in the other could still be enough to keep us up.
But was there any neutral watching that match could say Newcastle deserve to be a Premiership team? I doubt it.
