JOCK Straiton’s family say justice has not been done because a possible third attacker is still at large.
Passing motorist Philip Howarth, said he saw a third man jump two-footed onto the victim’s head as he lay on the ground.
The prosecution alleged this was Paul Blower, but on hearing all the evidence, the jury did not agree and found the 20-year-old not guilty of murder and manslaughter.
In a statement, the family said: “A verdict of murder has been reached by the jury on two of the defendants.
“However, we as a family believe that justice has still not been done as it is our belief that there were three involved in the attack.
“Nothing will bring Jock back to us.”
But Det Insp Helen Spooner of Cheshire Police said there are no plans to make further arrests.
She said: “The case is concluded and there is no evidence to support anyone else being involved.”
