THEY may not be Arsenal or Tottenham, but anyone who thinks Wigan will be a pushover tomorrow is kidding themselves.

Let's remember that not long ago this team put five past a Hull side who have surprised almost everyone (including me) since getting promoted.

After Arsene Wenger's amateur dramatics this week, Stoke's performance could be one of two things.

It could be the display of a team buoyed by a fantastic result against a very, very talented team.

Or it could be a case of after the Lord Mayor's show from a side that allowed all the talk about last weekend to distract them.

We can't afford for it to be the latter - Wigan have some class acts, notably Wilson Palacios and Amr Zaki.

A win would be fantastic, but given that we have one point away from the Brit this season I would take a draw now.

Either result would see us keep up the momentum generated by successive home wins.

I will be interested to see how Tony Pulis treats this one. He stiffened up our far from weak midfield to counter Arsenal's swift, slick attacking movements.

Surely we need more creative options against Wigan and we need to approach the game with Soares back on the right.

Fantastic result as Arsenal was, can we really rely on getting two goals from long throws in every match? Surely not.

In which case, stick Amdy Faye on the bench and bring him on if we're winning and need to hold what we have.
