Welsh U21 international Flynn was earmarked by Dino Maamria as Michael Carr’s replacement following the fan favourite’s departure to Morecambe over the summer.

A busy midfielder, Flynn spent last season at relegated Stafford Rangers following his release from boyhood club Crewe Alexandra.

Strong in the tackle and with an eye for goal, Flynn deputised ably for Joel Byrom at the start of the current campaign while his teammate recovered from a hernia operation.
