NORTHWICH’S Christmas pantomime has smashed box office records.
TV icons Katie Price and Kerry Katona will star in this year’s production, Cinderella.
Rehearsals are well underway ahead of opening night on Sunday (December 8) and producer Anton Benson can’t wait to see the playful pair take to the stage.
He said: “Panto rehearsals are going extremely well.
“Katie and Kerry are sensational together and are going to be a lot of fun.
“They have a wonderful work ethic.
“The set and special effects are brilliant and we are pushing boundaries further than we ever have before.”
Tickets for the panto at Memorial Court have sold at record numbers, with just a few hundred remaining for the shows before Christmas.
Anton added: “The show has already broken all box office records and is our best-selling show since our first panto in Northwich in 2011.
“If you want to see the show you need to book quick as there are less than 300 seats left available before Christmas and only approximately 2000 seats left in total across the entire run!”
It was announced back in September that ex-glamour models Kerry and Katie would be starring in this year’s panto.
They will be playing Cinderella’s ‘wicked stepsisters’.
“We don’t like the word ‘ugly’ because nobody will believe it,” Katie said.

The duo say they have been ‘like sisters’ for 25 years, even going on holiday together with their 10 children.
But this will be the first time they’ve worked together since appearing on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here 20 years ago.
And they won’t just be sharing a stage either, the girls are going to be moving in together during the run and even spending Christmas Day together.
Kerry said: “Oh my God, that’s going to be a nightmare.”
Katie and Kerry will be joined by Northwich panto legends Ryan Greaves as Buttons, and Steve Moorewood as Dame Hard-Up, plus Mary Shanker as Fairy Godmother, Joe Chadwick as Prince Charming and Cara Healy as Cinderella.
The show runs from December 8 to 31, with tickets – including for two special ‘adult only’ shows - can be booked at Brio’s website or in person from Northwich Memorial Court.
