A home care company is helping to spread Christmas cheer for older adults in the community.
Home Instead, based in Northwich and Knutsford, is launching its annual 'Be a Santa' gift-giving campaign, aiming to combat loneliness during the festive season.
Now in its third year, the initiative asks the local community to donate presents for those in need.
This can include winter warmers, toiletries, sweet treats, and games.
The company will be accepting donations until December 6, and these can be dropped off at the Home Instead office in Gadbrook Park, Northwich.
For those unable to deliver their donations, the office can arrange a collection.
Head of operations at Home Instead Northwich and Knutsford, Nick Hodgson, said: "At Home Instead we understand the challenges many ageing adults in the community face around the Christmas period.
"If we can do our bit to put a smile on their face during the festivities then I’m all for it.
"Please get involved if you can.
"It is a wonderful way to share festive joy with older people in our communities and we welcome everyone to join us in spreading festive happiness this Christmas."
Community partners such as Booths in Knutsford, Waitrose, and Waiive Printing in Northwich, Weaver Valley Rotary, and Minuteman Press in Warrington have already committed to donating gifts.
Other organisations, including Butcher & Barlow, Willows Veterinary Group, and Daneside Mews and Daneside Court care homes, are also collecting donations.
This year, the company will donate presents to 'Betty's Christmas Tea Party', a festive charity event for 60 older adults.
Home Instead will also deliver gifts to clients spending the holidays alone and, if supplies allow, donate to Re-Engage, a charity dedicated to supporting isolated older adults.
