A DRIVER has been arrested after a lorry crashed into a parked vehicle.
Mite Angelov, from Macedonia, is due in court today (November 29) having been charged with drink-driving.
It comes after police received several reports from members of the public concerned about the driving of a HGV.
A short time later, the HGV hit a parked vehicle.
Officers arrived at the Tall Trees Service Centre on Tarporley Road in Whitley shortly before 11am on Thursday (November 28) when Angelov failed a breath test.
Angelov will appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday (November 29).
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 10.55am on Thursday, November 28, police were called to reports of a possible intoxicated driver at the Tall Trees Service Centre on Tarporley Road, Whitley.
“The caller reported that the HGV had collided with a stationary vehicle.
“Officers attended and the driver was arrested after failing a breath test.
“Mite Angelov, from Macedonia, has since been charged with the offence and is set to appear at Chester Crown Court later today, Friday, November 29.”
