SIX people have been arrested following a drugs raid in Winnington.
Officers from Northwich Beat Team executed a warrant at an address on Bowling Green Court at around 8.30am this morning (November 26).
Four women (age 30, 37, 46 and 48) and two men (47 and 48) were arrested at the address on suspicion of drug offences and all currently remain in custody.
During the raid officers recovered a number of items, including several phones, drugs paraphernalia and a black pistol.
Inspector Dave Levins, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said: “Today’s warrant was conducted as part of an ongoing investigation into a county lines drugs gang who are believed to be operating in the Northwich area.
“The impact of drugs is well known, and I hope that this arrest provides reassurance to the community that we are doing all we can to stop those believed to be involved in this behaviour."
Information from the public is vital and I’d urge anyone with any information in relation to drug-related activity in their community to get in touch.”
