A WINSFORD man has been banned from the roads for failing to provide a specimen of breath.
Gary Buckley, of Calveley Way, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on November 21 for sentencing after previously pleading guilty to the offence.
The court heard while police were investigating a suspected driving offence on October 20, the 33-year-old failed to provide a specimen of breath.
Taking his admission into account, the bench handed Buckley a 12-month community order.
As part of the order, he must complete 300 hours of unpaid work within that period as well up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity.
Magistrates also disqualified Buckley from driving for 29 months, but this could be reduced by 29 weeks if he completes a rehabilitation course by July 2026.
The driving ban was backdated to begin on November 8 when Buckley was handed an interim disqualification following his guilty plea.
Buckley was also ordered to pay £85 in costs as well as a £114 surcharge.
