STAFF at a garden centre have thanked their generous customers for helping them reach the halfway mark towards their charity fundraising target.
Weaver Vale Garden Centre in Winnington is raising money to support Greenfingers, a charity working to brighten the lives of life-limited children.
Having already raised around £400 from an exercise bike challenge, the team held a cake sale this month to boost the fundraising pot.
Customers were also asked to guess the number of sweets in a jar, with the winner taking home a teddy bear.
And, after raising another £180, the Winnington Avenue garden centre has now got reached a total of £1,259 towards its £2,500 target.
A garden centre spokesman said: "We can't thank our customers enough for their generosity.
"Our next fundraising event is planned for Saturday, December 7, between 10am and 2pm.
"Father Christmas will be available to the all children, we are asking for a charitable donation from anyone wishing to have a photograph with Santa.
"All donations will be going to our chosen charity Greenfingers."
Greenfingers aims to provide life-limited children, their families, and carers, within hospices across the UK, emotional support through the power and pleasure of nature.
The charity creates beautiful outdoor spaces for children to enjoy with their family, friends and siblings, whether through play and fun, or therapeutic rest and relaxation.
