THERE are just a few days left to tell us who should win one of the Mid Cheshire Education Awards 2025.

The deadline for nominations is this Saturday – who do you think deserves to win one of the ten awards?

This will be the third year of the awards celebrating everything that makes schools, colleges and nurseries in Mid Cheshire so special.

We want to hear about pupils and students, classes and teams, teachers and teaching assistants in Northwich, Winsford, Middlewich and Knutsford who have gone above and beyond over the past 12 months.

The Mid Cheshire Education Awards 2025 will recognise and highlight everything that’s good about education in the area, shining a light on all the exceptional hard work and excellent achievements.

Do you know a young person who has achieved something amazing either at school or in the out of school activities?

Should they be our Primary School Pupil of the Year or Secondary School Pupil of the Year?

Which class or team has exceeded expectations and smashed their goals this year?

Is there an environmentally aware class or group of youngsters who deserve our Great and Green Award?

Who should take home our Lifetime Achievement Award?

There are ten awards to give out at the start of 2025 and entries are invited from teachers, parents, governors, pupils and anyone with knowledge of a particular school or education establishment.

All schools are welcome to enter as long as they are based in Mid Cheshire.

Individuals or institutions can enter more than one category, but this should be made clear on the entry form.

You have until November 30 to enter and the children and teachers, support staff and students, headteachers and lecturers will be honoured in an in-paper supplement and online in January 2025.

The awards would not be possible without support from sponsors. If you would like to be a sponsor of these awards please contact Nicola Whinnett on 07732 601766.

Great and Green

We are looking for the most environmentally friendly school. Do pupils go litter picking? Do they love Forest School? Is saving the planet a key part of the curriculum? We want to hear about the school, class or pupil doing the most to keep it green. The winner could be a whole school, one class or a pupil. Judges will be looking for something creative and a commitment to keeping Cheshire green.

Class/Team of the Year sponsored by Thor

Do you know a class or team that deserves to be rewarded for their hard work? It may be a sports team that has gone the extra mile, an after-school club or school choir that has carried out outstanding work in the community, or a class of primary or high school pupils that have excelled in their studies or on a special project.
