A PRISONER from Northwich has been charged with dealing drugs inside his open prison.
Samuel Watts stands accused of being concerned in the supply of cocaine while at HMP Kirkham in Lancashire, a category D jail.
The 33-year-old, who was living in Northwich before his sentence, was arrested on outside HMP Wymott, near Leyland, on Thursday, November 21.
He has since been charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs between June 17 and August 30, at HMP Kirkham.
Watts was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Preston Crown Court on Friday, December 20.
