A NEW television series will shine a spotlight on the River Weaver.
Production company Coleman Television has announced it is working on a new show, Britain’s Rivers From the Air.
It will look to uncover stories from the Weaver’s past, present and future.
For that, producers are looking to speak with people who live along the river and from nearby towns and villages.
Liv Creasey, from Coleman Television, said: “We are in the early stages of production for a new exciting series called Britain’s Rivers From the Air, which we aim to pitch to a number of different broadcasters in the hopes that one of them will pick the series up.
“We have chosen to focus on the beautiful River Weaver for one of our episodes, with aim of showing the idyllic countryside that the river finds itself in, along with the wonderful stories of the local communities that have grown around it.
“The personal touch is really what we’re looking for as we want the community to feel like they have played a role in displaying the beauty of their local waterways.”
Founded in 2005, Coleman Television aims to create ‘quality, honest and ethical’ documentaries.
In the past they have looked into topics such as JFK’s assassination, D-Day, and military aircraft.
For their latest project, they are looking to discover the Weaver’s heritage, landmarks and hidden gems.
They also want to hear people’s personal stories as well as tales of the area’s history.
Producers will also be working with drone operator Shaun Button, who will be heading out to capture the beauty of the river.
