A SCHOOLBOY hit by a car in Winsford is still being treated for serious injuries in hospital.

The 12-year-old boy was taken to Alder Hey Hospital by air ambulance after a crash outside Farmfoods on Dene Drive.

The collision happened shortly before 5pm on Friday, November 15.

Police were called and found that the boy had been involved in a collision with a white Citroen C1.

The driver of the car was also injured.

Cheshire Police say the boy’s condition ‘remains the same’ and have renewed their appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.

No arrests have been made.

Inspector Laura Smith, force incident manager at Cheshire Police, said: “The boy sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.

“He has been taken to Alder Hey hospital via air ambulance.

“The driver of the car was injured and no arrests have been made at this time."

Enquires in relation to the collision are ongoing.
