During an advert for last night’s launch episode of I’m a Celebrity on ITV1, Peter Kay revealed a surprise for North West fans (and many others across the UK).

The Bolton-born comedian announced extra dates for his record-breaking Peter Kay Live tour which began in December 2022, including two in Manchester next year.

Kay appeared in a new advert carrying a large gold toilet into his mum's famous bungalow (a reference to the title of his ‘Mum Wants A Bungalow tour’ from 2002).

On the bungalow’s garage door, ITV viewers were treated to a detailed mural of Freddie Mercury as Kay walked down the driveway.

One voice can be heard saying "is that Freddie Mercury?” as Kay replies "yeah, she's obsessed with him".

The fan then asked: "Are you doing any more shows?"

“I have no choice, she wants it all now,” Kay responded.

In total, Kay announced 21 new dates - kicking off in February 2025 and finishing in February 2026 - see the full list here.

As part of Peter Kay Live, the new dates will see the 51-year-old visit 16 cities within a year.

When is Peter Kay coming to Manchester in 2025?

Kay will be heading to Manchester’s AO Arena again on Friday, February 7, and Friday, September 19, 2025 as part of his confirmed extra tour dates.

The AO Arena website explains: “Peter’s new dates will see him perform in some of the UK’s largest arenas and more intimate theatre event spaces.

“The new 2025 and 2026 shows include his first dates at Aberdeen P&J Live, Brighton Centre, Bournemouth International Centre and Isle of Man Villa Marina.

“Peter’s tour, which started in Manchester, December 2022 has already broken records: remarkably he’s just completed his 100th show at the Manchester AO Arena breaking all attendance and performance records and astonishingly, Peter is the first artist in the world to perform a monthly residency at The O2, London, performing 45 shows, the most played by any artist in the venue’s history.

“Peter’s new dates include two new weekend shows at The O2 in 2025 further adding to this incredible milestone."
