A SCHOOLBOY was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Winsford.
The 12-year-old boy was taken to Alder Hey Hospital by air ambulance after a collision outside Farmfoods on Dene Drive.
Police were called to reports of a collision shortly before 5pm on Friday, November 15.
Officers found that a 12-year-old boy had been involved in a collision with a white Citroen C1.
The driver of the car was also injured.
Inspector Laura Smith, force incident manager at Cheshire Police, said: “The boy sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
“He has been taken to Alder Hey hospital via air ambulance.
“The driver of the car was injured and no arrests have been made at this time.
“Dene Drive is currently closed between High Street and The Drumber and motorists are urged to avoid the area.”
Enquires in relation to the collision are ongoing.
