An updated application for three homes on land in Winsford has been submitted just days after another scheme for two properties was withdrawn.
An application was originally made to Cheshire West and Chester Council in January for construction of three properties on land at Wharton Green.
A parallel scheme was put forward on the same date but for just two properties. That has now been withdrawn and an amended plan for the three-home project was submitted this week.
It would see the development take place on derelict land off just off Smokehall Lane and feature three-bedroom houses with solar panels on their rooves. The upstairs areas would also contain dedicated home office spaces.
A design and access statement submitted in support of the application, said: "The site in question is currently derelict, offering an opportunity for regeneration and beneficial reuse. Situated within the settlement boundary of Winsford, it is well placed to integrate seamlessly with the existing urban fabric.
"The location off Smokehall Lane provides convenient access to local amenities, transport links, and community facilities, making it an ideal setting for residential development."
Drawings submitted online show parking areas, gardens and a drop off area for recycling and refuse collection.
The statement added: “The proposed development represents a thoughtful, sustainable addition to the housing stock of Winsford. It balances the need for new homes with respect for the character and needs of the local community.”
It added: “This development not only revitalises a currently underutilised site but also contributes positively to the broader objectives of sustainable development within Cheshire West and Chester.”
