DRIVERS faced long queues on the M6 northbound this morning following a four-vehicle crash.
The incident happened between junction 19 and 20 and caused heavy congestion.
One lane was closed.
A spokesman for National Highways said: “It was a four-vehicle collision in lane three.
“We closed that lane at 7.41am and reopened at 8.47am.
“One of the vehicles couldn’t be moved away from the scene, so we couldn’t reopen the lane until it had been recovered.”
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "There are not believed to be reports of any injuries."
