YOUTHS have been rescued from the roof of a shopping centre.
A large emergency service was called to Northwich this afternoon.
It follows reports of two youngsters on top of a building in Weaver Square.
“At 1.45pm on Tuesday, November 12, police were called to reports of youths on the roof of a building in Northwich,” said a Cheshire Police spokesperson.
“Officers attended and found two youths on the roof of Weaver Square shopping centre.
“Police, fire and ambulance are currently in attendance and are currently engaging with the youths to get them off the building.”
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent three engines to the scene, along with the aerial ladder platform.
A technical rescue unit was also spotted in attendance.
An eyewitness says the youths were brought down from the roof shortly after 3pm.
It is understood emergency services remain in attendance.
