TWO men have been taken to hospital amid reports of a stabbing.

Emergency services were called to Winsford this morning following reports of a stabbing on Delamere Street.

Two men were found with 'minor injuries' and have been taken to hospital as a result.

Delamere Street remains closed as Cheshire Police officers investigate the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: “At 10.52am today, November 11, police were called to reports of a stabbing on Delamere Street in Winsford.

“Two men sustained minor injuries as a result and have been taken to hospital in an ambulance.

“Road closures are currently in place on Delamere Street while officers conduct their enquiries.

“We believe this to be an isolated incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1960475 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

It is understood an air ambulance landed on the field behind Over St Johns CE Primary School.
