SUSPECTED drug dealers are due in court.

Winsford residents Iain Alexander and Helen Reynolds have both been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

It comes after Cheshire Police officers discovered more than £40,000 worth of cocaine and heroin in a self-storage unit.

At 11.40am on Friday (November 8), officers from Northwich Proactive CID arrested a 44-year-old woman at a self-storage unit on New Road, Winsford, as part of an ongoing investigation.

A search was subsequently undertaken on the unit where officers recovered approximately £43,500 of class A drugs, namely cocaine and heroin.

A 33-year-old man was also arrested nearby in relation to the incident.

Following questioning, Alexander, of Robinson Lane, and Reynolds, of Ledward Street, were both charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

The pair have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court later today (Monday, November 11).
