WINSFORD’S firework display has been hailed as the town’s ‘biggest and best’ yet.
Hundreds of people flocked to Barton Stadium on Saturday (November 2) to take in a spectacular show.
It is the third year that Winsford Town Council has been responsible for running the event.
Town Mayor councillor Wayne Fletcher said “This is the third year the town council has organised the town’s bonfire and firework event and it is safe to say that this was the biggest and the best.
“The sheer number of people who attended was amazing and the fireworks were out of this world, together with the different acts and stalls which were part of the event.
“These events do not just organise themselves and I would like to thank all of the people involved including town council staff, councillors, Parabellum Events who organised the stalls, Winsford United and our sponsors for the evening.
“Truly this was a real community effort and just shows what can be achieved when we all pull together for the good of the town”.
Winsford United FC hosted the occasion, with Blitz providing the fireworks.
Alongside the display, visitors could enjoy browsing variety of stalls showcasing local goods and traders and were kept entertained by acts including stilt walkers and fire eaters.
Winsford Town Council say events such as this are only made possible thanks to the support of sponsors S Coopers and Sons LTD, Compass Mineral, Weaver Vale Housing Trust, and M&Y Maintenance.
