A FIRE has caused 'severe' delays on the motorway.
One lane of the M6 Northbound is currently shut.
This follows a vehicle fire between J17 for Crewe and J18 for Middlewich.
Emergency services are on the scene.
According to the AA, this has resulted in 'severe delays' of 12 minutes.
These are reported to be increasing.
