A CARE worker from Winsford has been named as a finalist at the upcoming Great British Care Awards.
Chloe Cadman, who manages supported living services in Northwich and Ellesmere Port, has been shortlisted in the Frontline Leader category for industry awards which will be presented next month.
The award is given to first-time care managers with outstanding qualities who are committed to improving the services they lead.
Chloe was nominated for the award by colleagues at Making Space, the national health and social care charity that delivers care in the supported living schemes.
This is the second time this year Chloe has been singled out for award recognition for her work. In July, she was given the Inspiring Leader Award in the annual Making Space Colleague Awards.
Rachel Horton, regional head of operations for Making Space in Cheshire, said: “At Making Space we live by our values, one of which is ‘having courage’.
"This means embracing our fears and doing the right thing even if it’s the hardest option, and always having the confidence to try, learn and succeed.
“Chloe works incredibly hard, lives our values and demonstrates these every day. She’s engaging, honest, transparent, brave, determined and a passionate advocate for everyone she works with.
"We believe her dedication to continuous growth, impactful leadership and excellent motivational skills make her a standout leader.
“We’re thrilled that judges have recognised Chloe’s achievements and everyone at Making Space wishes her the very best of luck on the night. All of our social care colleagues in the final should be incredibly proud of their achievements.”
Chloe said: “Winning the Making Space award was such a wonderful feeling, so to find out that I have been nominated for the Great British Care Awards is a lovely surprise!
"I am so grateful to have been nominated and I am really looking forward to attending the event and seeing all of the other fantastic nominees.
“Being nominated for another award really helps me to see that everything I do in my role is beneficial to my colleagues and to the people we support.
"Even if the award is given to someone else, I will always be proud of such a big achievement!”
Chloe will find out if she’s won the Frontline Leader award for the North West region at a ceremony at Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower hotel on Saturday, November 9.
