A NORTHWICH businesswoman has been named one of the country’s best.
Emma Guy, chief commercial officer at digital marketing agency Aqueous Digital, won a top prize at the National Business Women’s Awards.
She claimed gold in the ‘Business Woman of the Year – Small (£1m to £10m turnover)’ category at the ceremony at the Leonardo Royal Tower Bridge Hotel in London on Friday (October 25).
Emma has had a busy year having also stood as the Mid Cheshire MP candidate for Reform UK in July's General Election.
Speaking after winning her award, Emma said: “It was a privilege to stand next to so many remarkable businesswomen who act as role models every day.
“This award not only reflects my personal dedication, but also the achievements of the entire team at Aqueous.
“Since we founded the business more than a decade ago, an unwavering commitment to helping our customers to stand out using gold-standard digital marketing has been at the heart of our strategy.”
Aqueous Digital, based in Sutton Weaver, was launched in 2011 by Emma and her husband, Jonathan Guy.
The company specialises in search engine optimisation, content strategy, and online reputation management with the aim of providing a digital marketing service based on ‘trust, loyalty and collaboration’.
It was this vision that led to Emma being crowned Business Woman of the Year – Small (£1m to £10m turnover.
Kristian Bentham, marketing director at Aqueous Digital, said: “We’re so happy that Emma’s commitment and leadership was celebrated at such a prestigious event.
“We aim not only to provide an outstanding service, but also create a great working culture where we support our team’s development and celebrate their success.
“Emma’s achievement is a reflection of the strength of our team and of the agency’s core values of trust, loyalty and collaboration (TLC).”
Emma’s category was one of 22 at the National Business Women’s Awards 2024, which seek to ‘raise the profile of industrious, hardworking and enterprising businesswomen nationally’.
A spokesperson for the event said: “The National Business Women’s Awards Final 2024 was truly an evening to be remembered!
“Talent, succeeds and celebration were on the menu inside the Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge Hotel - and all our winners and finalists showed the nation what it takes to be a part of such a fantastic ceremony!”
