FIREFIGHTERS were called to the canal in Middlewich after receiving reports of a boat fire.
Three fire engines attended the scene in Sea Bank shortly after midnight this morning, Tuesday.
Firefighters from Holmes Chapel, Northwich and Middlewich were called after receiving reports of a fire on a boat, which was well alight.
The crews used two hose reel jets and a light portable pump to extinguish the fire.
The boat was partially sunk, and the Canal River Trust have been informed.
