A SPECIALIST in hygiene solutions has announced it has bought a firm that designs, manufactures, and installs cleaning and disinfection systems.

Christeyns Food Hygiene (CFH), based in Warrington at Winwick Quay, has acquired H&M Disinfection Systems Ltd, which caters to the food, dairy, and beverage sectors.

H&M, operational since 1989, has been a long-term partner of CFH, providing bespoke units and high-quality hygiene systems.

The company is based at a manufacturing site in Rudheath, Northwich.

The acquisition will not affect H&M's current operations or its workforce, which will remain at their existing premises.

CFH, known for its effective detergent and disinfectant formulations, serves a wide array of UK food retailers and consumer brands.

It is part of the Belgium-owned Christeyns group.

CFH operations director and managing director, Andy Bethel, said: "As we continue our growth strategy, we are delighted to confirm that H&M has become part of the Christeyns family.

"This acquisition will increase CFH’s engineering team and significantly bolster our service offering to clients across the UK and Eire."

The acquisition will further enhance CFH's existing engineering capabilities, which include water and energy consumption optimisation, dosing, and labour.

The combined expertise will result in an expanded equipment portfolio, including CIP sets, washdown systems, bulk tanks, and bespoke engineering.
