A CYCLIST was airlifted to hospital by helicopter after being taken ill on a group ride in Middlewich.
The incident occurred at the corner of Canalside Way and Croxton Lane at 12.23pm on Wednesday, October 23.
An advanced paramedic also attended after Northwest Ambulance Service (NWAS) received a 999 call.
A spokesman for NWAS said: “We responded to a patient who required emergency medical help following a 999 call at 12.23pm on Wednesday, October 23.
“An ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, and a critical care team in a helicopter provided immediate medical care at the scene and transported the patient to hospital for further treatment.”
