BUSINESS has been booming for an electrical store.
Northwich Electrical Supplies recently celebrated its first birthday.
Located at Winnington Business Park, owner Steve Walker says the shop has gone from strength to strength since opening its doors last year.
He said: “The first year's been great - we're finding each month gets busier as word continues to get around town that we're here.
“Northwich Electrical Supplies was one of the first to open on the business park so it's been nice to see the other units filling up - we have a real community feel down here and the businesses are quick to help each other out.”
Originally from Sale, Steve moved to Northwich around 20 years ago, taking up a job at an electrical wholesaler.
He went on to launch his own business in Macclesfield before returning to Northwich in August 2023, when he decided to take the plunge and open a shop with the support of his wife Andrea.
They said it was the 'continued growth and development' of Northwich that brought them back.
“As I've worked over in Macclesfield for the past decade or so, it's been my mission to re-establish myself back here in Northwich,” Steve said.
“The response has been fantastic both locally and on our social media pages.
“People are keen to support independent traders and it's been great getting to know our new customers as well as seeing lots of old faces.”
On what’s next for the business, Steve added: “We've got a few exciting projects lined up for year two and look forward to continually growing the business and adding more lines of stock to give our customers an even better choice.”
Open to the trade and public, Northwich Electrical Supplies stocks a range of products, including cables, lighting, tools and safety equipment.
The store, located at Unit 23 at Winnington Business Park, opens from 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am to 4pm on Fridays.
