NORTHWICH residents have an opportunity to gain insight into one of the town's iconic businesses.

Mike Roberts, of Roberts Bakery, will be one of the guest speakers at a special event organised and hosted by Northwich Rotary Club.

The deputy chairman will be discussing the company's recovery following the 2023 fire and its plans for the future.

Elizabeth Walton, president of the Northwich Rotary Club, said: "We are proud to host these special speaker meetings, where the public is informed of the latest in our town.

"These events also present an opportunity for the public to ask the speakers questions."

Also at the event will be speakers from Cheshire Police, providing an update on policing in the town and supported by the Mini Police.

There will also be updates on Rotary in Northwich events, as well as those held in the town.

The meeting takes place from 12pm on Monday, October 28, in the social room at Witton Albion FC's U Lock It Stadium, in Chapel Street.

Lunch is provided within the £12.50 ticket price. Tickets must be booked by midday on Friday, October 25, to be sure of a place.

They can be bought here: rotaryinnorthwich.org.uk/special-speaker-meetings.

Alternatively they can be booked via email at northwichrotaryss@gmail.com or be bought on the door, where there will be a card machine available.

A Rotary spokesman added: "Final numbers are given to the caterers at 2pm on October 25 – please inform us of any additional attendees or that you cannot attend by this time.

"We cannot accept bookings after this time, as we need to ensure numbers remain correct for the caterers."
