NORTHWICH’S talented amateur artists have a chance to sell their wonderful work alongside professionals in a proper exhibition space.
Visual Arts Cheshire (VAC) is calling for submissions for its annual 20x20 exhibition, running between Saturday, November 23, and Saturday, January 11, at its Barons Quay gallery.
Submissions can be any media including drawings, paintings, collages, photographs, and just about anything else you can think of, but they must measure 20cms by 20cms and be unframed.
All exhibits must be for sale at a maximum of £20, and it costs £2 per work to enter.
Entries are limited to six per artist, with last year’s show pulling in more than 350 submissions.
Half the entry fee will go to Northwich-based childhood cancer charity, The Joshua Tree.
VAC’s Phil Carswell said: ‘We want to fill the gallery once more and create a stunning exhibition while raising as much money as we can for The Joshua Tree.
“We hope local art groups, artists, and the wider public show just as much enthusiasm for getting involved as they always have.”
Details of the project, along with entry criteria, are available on VAC’s website, from the gallery next to the Odeon cinema in Barons Quay, and from Northwich Art Shop.
