A WARNING has been issued ahead of Northwich's bridges swinging for up to 30 minutes on Thursday.
The Canal & River Trust has advised residents the town's two bridges over the Weaver will be swinging for longer than usual in the morning.
First to swing will be the Hayhurst Swing Bridge, in Chester Way, from 9.30am.
This will be followed at 10am by the Town Swing Bridge on the A533 Chester Way, which is also due to swing at 10.30am.
The waterways charity has warned these swings could take between 20 to 30 minutes to complete, more than the usual five minutes.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to plan ahead if they are travelling into town.
