A MOTORCYCLIST died in hospital after a crash while on his way to work, an inquest has heard.
David Mark Turner died age 54 after colliding with a telegraph pole on the A530 Croxton Lane in Byley.
The Lostock Gralam resident was on his way to work as a delivery driver in the early hours of Monday, June 17.
During the inquest at Cheshire Coroner’s Court on Wednesday (October 16), it was heard that the tread and pressure of the rear tyre and the tread of the front tyre of his black Lexmoto bike were both below recommended limits.
It is believed that this, combined with the damp road, contributed to the crash at around 3.15am.
Mr Turner, who was born in Davenham, was taken to Leighton Hospital where he later died.
He suffered chest and abdominal injuries which were described as ‘unsurvivable’.
Area coroner Victoria Davies concluded that his death was the result of a road traffic collision.
