AN inquest has been opened into the death of a woman found at her home.
Winsford resident Karen Margerum was found dead in her bath at her home in Clyde Crescent on September 12 last month.
The 64-year-old was discovered by a family member.
On Wednesday (October 16), senior coroner for Cheshire Jacqueline Devonish formally launched an inquest into Ms Margerum’s death.
She said that an inquest was required due to ‘an unnatural cause of death provided after post-mortem’.
The post-mortem examination was carried out at Leighton Hospital by Dr David Butterworth on September 17.
An internal case review is scheduled for December 15, ahead of the full inquest on February 24, 2025.
