SUPERMARKET staff carried out first aid amid a medical emergency.
An air ambulance was called to the Tesco superstore in Northwich on Sunday (October 13).
A member of the public was left requiring medical attention outside the shop on Manchester Road following an incident nearby, a spokesperson for the supermarket chain confirmed.
Staff were quick to respond, administering first aid and calling for support from the North West Ambulance Service.
“We were called at 2.33pm to respond to a patient suffering a medical emergency,” said a NWAS spokesperson.
“An ambulance crew, advanced paramedic, air ambulance crew and emergency doctor all attended.
“A man was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
A spokesperson for North West Air Ambulance added: "We can confirm that the North West Air Ambulance Charity were called to an incident in Northwich on October 13.
"Helimed 72 attended and the crew accompanied the patient to hospital via land ambulance."
