A DRINK-driver has been banned from the roads.
Cuddington resident Graham Belshaw has been disqualified from driving for 17 months after admitting to drink-driving.
The 45-year-old was caught driving a Mitsubishi Outlander along the A49 Sandybrow in Northwich on September 8 last month while over the legal limit.
Belshaw had 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35 microgrammes.
He appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on October 8 where he admitted drink-driving.
Taking his admission into account, the bench disqualified Belshaw from driving for 17 months.
However, he can reduce this by 17 weeks if he completes a driving course by September 8, 2025.
Belshaw, of East Lane in Cuddington, was also handed a fine of £897, which he must pay along with costs of £85 and a £359 surcharge.
