The 39-year-old Portuguese lived in the Over Alderley property during his second stint with Red Devils before leaving in November 2022.

Initially listed on Rightmove for £5.5 million in early 2023, the asking price for the house has since been reduced to £4.9 million. The mansion is being marketed by estate agents Jackson-Stops.

The Rightmove listing says: "A masterpiece in modern design set in 23 acres - an ultra stylish main residence with superb leisure suite, two bedroom guest barn and padel court."

On stepping through the galleried entrance into the inner hall, guests will be greeted with an open plan kitchen and family room.
