A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Police in Northwich have arrested a 26-year-old woman on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
It comes after a 30-year-old man was found with serious injuries on Church Road.
The man has since been taken to hospital via air ambulance.
Police remain at the scene.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At 1.42pm on October 9 police were called to an address in Church Road, Northwich following reports of a man with serious injuries in the street.
“A 30-year-old man has gone to hospital via air ambulance and a 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
“The incident appears to be isolated.
“Enquiries into the circumstances, are ongoing.
“Police remain at the scene.”
A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said: "An ambulance crew, solo responding paramedic and critical care team in an air ambulance all attended."
