A NORTHWICH town centre bridge will swing later this week.
The Canal and River Trust North West has confirmed that Hayhurst Swing Bridge will be in action on Thursday (October 10).
The bridge over the River Weaver will swing at 9.30am.
While this usually takes five minutes, the CRT has warned it could take 20 to 30 minutes on this occasion.
Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and Cheshire West and Chester Council have been made aware.
The swing is likely to cause some delays for motorists travelling through Northwich.
There has been no mention of Town Swing Bridge being operated on Thursday.
