A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital.
Emergency services were called to Stoneyford Lane in Oakmere on Monday (October 7).
Upon arrival, crews found a rider, a man, had been thrown off his motorbike after hitting a lamppost.
The biker was then taken to Aintree Hospital by air ambulance.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 2.19pm on Monday, October 7, police were called to a one vehicle collision on Stoneyford Lane, Oakmere.
“Officers attended and found a motorcyclist had collided with a lamppost and come off his bike.
“The air ambulance was called to the scene and the rider was taken to Aintree Hospital.
“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
North West Air Ambulance has been contacted for further information.
